High-performance raw edge moulded cogged industrial belt, designed for drives with extreme speeds and small pulley diameters where maximum efficiency and minimal installation space are required.
XPZ Profile: Raw edge narrow profile with a width of 10 mm. Thanks to precision-ground sidewalls, the belt achieves a perfect fit in the groove, which minimizes vibration even at peripheral speeds exceeding 40 m/s.
Moulded Cogging: The cog geometry significantly increases flexibility and expands the belt's cooling surface. This enables safe operation on very small pulleys without causing fatigue cracking of the backing or overheating of the core.
Heavy Duty Construction: The core consists of specially treated polychloroprene with transversely oriented fibers surrounding low-stretch polyester tension members. This construction ensures high stability and resistance to shock loads.
Raw Edge Design: Unlike wrapped belts, this design allows direct power transmission from the rubber to the pulley. The result is a higher coefficient of friction, lower slippage, and more energy-efficient operation.
L=L (M=S - Matched Set): Thanks to M=S technology, Continental guarantees length tolerance accuracy that meets the strictest international standards. Belts of the same size can be combined into sets as desired without having to deal with matching by production batches.
Resistance: The belt is antistatic according to ISO 1813 and exhibits excellent resistance to oil and dust. Standard temperature resistance ranges from -40 °C to +130 °C (depending on the specific compound).
Interchangeability: XPZ belts are a more powerful and flexible replacement for wrapped SPZ belts. They are also fully interchangeable with the classic 10/Z profile or the automotive AVX10 profile.
Installation: This belt is installed on pulleys of the SPZ profile.
