Steel sliding bushings
Carbon steel plain bearings are surface hardened to a depth of 1.5 mm to a hardness of at least 52 HRC, with a soft, tough core. Carbon steel bearings withstand high loads (above 150 N/mm2), are suitable for both rotary and oscillatory motion, and do not require frequent relubrication. They are excellent under high loads and low speeds, have good impact resistance, and good operating properties in dirty environments. Before first installation, however, it is necessary to properly lubricate the bearing.
