High-performance industrial raw-edge cogged V-belt, designed for maximum power transmission and energy efficiency in compact, high-speed drives.
XPA Profile: Raw edge narrow profile with a width of 13 mm. Continental's raw-edge technology ensures precise geometry that minimizes vibration and maximizes the coefficient of friction for uncompromising power transmission.
Cogged Design: Optimized cog profile increases belt flexibility while expanding the surface area for heat dissipation. This allows for use on very small pulley diameters while maintaining a long service life without the risk of thermal degradation.
Heavy Duty Construction: The belt features specially treated polyester tension cords with extremely low stretch. The core is made of an EPDM compound or advanced polychloroprenes with transversely oriented fibers, ensuring excellent rigidity and shock load resistance.
Raw Edge Design: The absence of a fabric cover allows for direct engagement of the rubber compound in the pulley groove. This results in higher efficiency (up to 97%) and reduces energy losses caused by slippage and internal friction.
L=L (M=S - Matched Set): Continental utilizes M=S technology, which guarantees length tolerances much tighter than those required by ISO standards. This means that any belts of the same size can be assembled into a multiple belt set without measuring, with the certainty of uniform load distribution.
Resistance: The belt is antistatic according to ISO 1813. It features high resistance to oil, dust, and tropical conditions. Temperature resistance is outstanding for EPDM versions, ranging from -40 °C to +130 °C.
Interchangeability: Continental XPA belts are a premium replacement for wrapped SPA belts. They can also be used instead of the 13 (13/A) profile or the AVX13 automotive profile, offering higher reliability in continuous operations.
Installation: This belt is installed on pulleys of the SPA profile.
