THK SHS25VSSC1 GK Linear Block

The THK linear carriage of the SHS-V series in the stainless steel SS design is designed for profile guide rails of size 25 mm. Compared to the standard type, this is a narrow version of the carriage, which is advantageously used in linear applications that must operate in space-constrained installations. In terms of accuracy and sealing, it is the basic type of carriage.

The carriage balls roll in four rows, in precisely ground guideways in the loaded zone between the rail and the carriage, and they turn in the end plate and return through the return channels. Each row of balls is placed at a 45° contact angle, so the nominal load acting on the carriage in four directions is the same (in radial, reverse-radial, and lateral directions), allowing the guide to be used in any position. In addition, a preload can be set on the carriage to increase stiffness in the four specified directions, while maintaining a constant low coefficient of friction. 

The low cross-sectional height and high rigidity of the SHS carriage design make it possible to achieve highly accurate and stable linear motion. The use of caged balls eliminates friction between the balls and allows for low operating noise, long-term maintenance-free operation, and high speed.
