Description

Fasteners play a crucial role in the long-term reliability of your machinery and structures. The stainless steel countersunk socket head screw M10x40, DIN7991 (A2) is designed to provide a strong yet structurally clean connection. Thanks to the countersunk head with a height of 5 mm, it does not protrude above the surface of the material after installation, which you will appreciate wherever a smooth profile and operational safety are important.

The screw features a partial M10 thread with a length of 26 mm out of a total length of 40 mm. The installation itself is carried out using a 6 mm hex key (allen wrench), which allows for precise and secure transmission of tightening torque without the risk of stripping the socket.

Technical details and advantages

  • A2-70 Material: High-quality stainless steel protects the joint against corrosion in humid environments and extends the overall service life of the equipment.
  • DIN 7991 and ISO 10642 Standards: Guarantee precise dimensions and full compatibility with standard industrial parts.
  • Countersunk head design: Allows for a flush surface after tightening, preventing interference with surrounding moving parts.
  • Partial thread: Helps to clamp two joined parts together much more tightly compared to the fully threaded variant.

When installing stainless steel screws, we recommend keeping the thread absolutely clean and considering the use of a suitable assembly paste to prevent unwanted seizing of the joint (so-called galling). Choosing the right installation procedure will significantly facilitate any future maintenance.
