Description

FRC 70 FRAS is a flexible rubber element for the SKF FRC 70 shaft coupling. It is shaped like a six-pointed star and is inserted between the metal hubs of the jaw coupling, where it provides the coupling's flexible properties.

The element is designed in the F.R.A.S version, meaning it has increased resistance to ignition as it contains an FR flame retardant, and also possesses AS antistatic properties that limit the generation of sparks during coupling operation.

FRC couplings can transmit moderate shock loads, dampen lower levels of vibration, and accommodate potential misalignment. Thanks to the properties of the flexible element, they can also be used in applications with high thermal loads or in explosive environments. These include, for example, drives in the chemical or petrochemical industry, mining industry, flammable material warehouses, etc.
